We get it, the picture-perfect shot in the canola is what we all want. There are a few things to keep in mind before you go click-crazy!
It’s important to follow these points below before you enter someone’s private property:
1. Always seek permission from the farmer before entering their property
2. Be mindful of biosecurity measures in place to protect crops and prevent the spread of diseases or pests.
3. Take necessary safety precautions while explore the canola trail including parking safely on the side of the road
You can get the perfect-insta photo from the fence!
It’s advised to read up on canola etiquette to better understand the expectations and guidelines for visitors. By following these steps and being respectful of the farmer’s property, you can enjoy capturing your photos responsibly.
The canola trail is an RV-friendly region that welcomes all types of travellers – and their furry friends. You’ll be spoilt by choice when it comes to campgrounds with offerings ranging from riverside free camps to caravan parks with all amenities.
There are a number of off-leash areas. In Junee, head to the grassed area just before the Junee Tourist Park in Park Lane or the grassed area along the Olympic Highway between De Salis Drive and Monte Cristo Road. If you’re looking to exercise your pooch in Temora, let them run free at the Golden Gate Reserve, which is surrounded by Austral and Gardner Street and Cootamundra Road, or the purpose built dog agility park situated at Lake Centenary.
The canola trail is a self-drive adventure. We encourage you explore and wander at your own pace. There are a variety of things you can see, do and taste while you are along the trail.
At this stage there are no guided tours you can book. We do suggest book a hot air balloon flight with Goldrush Ballooning. Glide through the sky as you take in the view from above. It’s magic!
